This is a great opportunity for a Heart Failure trained Cardiologist to join an organization that has been a leader in cardiovascular services for almost 50 years. To date, the center has performed 172 heart transplants. The ideal candidate will be a physician who has completed a Heart Failure fellowship or a cardiology fellow who is interested in pursuing a Heart Failure fellowship. The incoming physician will have primarily a heart failure and transplant practice. There is currently one cardiologist who focuses 50% of his practice on the advanced heart failure patient population. Together with the existing physician, the Heart Failure physician will receive referrals from cardiologists around the state who will send their patients to this regional advanced heart failure center. Practice is located in a bustling metropolitan area with one university and two private colleges offering theater productions, concerts, art exhibits, and nationally known guest speakers. The arts flourish in this city as well as fine and casual dining. A popular river area features live music, restaurants and shops. The area is located next to a large outdoor amphitheater where concerts, movie nights and festivals with well-known performers are often held. This exciting town is also home to the state’s Symphony Orchestra and Ballet. Several theaters, comedy clubs, jazz and blues bars, and energetic dance clubs also host numerous events year round.
