Services include, but are not limited to, evaluation of new and return outpatients (approx. 20 per day) and in-patent consultations, to include those in ICU (approx. two to three days)in the subspecialties of Cardiology; perform stress electrocardiography and echocardiography, interpretation of electrocardiogram, holter echocardiogram, placement of temporary transvenous pacing, including eletrode placement, TEE, cardioversion and coronary thrombolysis by IV thrombolytic agents in acute MI. shall order prescriptions, labs, x-rays and other pertinent tests. Contractor shall refer patients to other specialty care, as required. Contractor shall furnish technical and/or professional support for resident and physicians employed by the VA, consulting either face-to-face, through CPRS (electronic patient record) or by telephone. Contractor shall complete documentation requirements in a timely manner or as per policy utilizing CPRS and Prosolv, as required. Contractor shall collaborate with Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, signing off on notes, as needed.
