Description Dermatologist JOB DESCRIPTION: Seeking board certified/eligible general Dermatologist to establish a new practice in Gaylord, as part of the company's Medical Group at the facility or with some income guarantees to start a private practice. • Full time general office practice • On Call 15 days a month, self determined schedule • Mohs surgeon would be considered in combination with general dermatology. (Closest Mohs surgeon is 1.5 to 2 hrs away.) • This will be the only Dermatology practice in the county, as our patients currently wait months and travel long distances for dermatology services. • Excellent growth potential with two northern Michigan dermatologists retiring in 2010. CANDIDATE PROFILE: • Seeking compassionate, caring, high quality physician candidates to join our team. • No history of malpractice, license suspension or disciplinary actions to be eligible for consideration. • Must be board certified or eligible with plans to complete certification within two years of employment • Candidates ideally will have been in practice no more than ten years as we plan for succession in many of these positions. • This company is a progressive JCAHO accredited, community hospital that maintains high standards of quality for staff and patient care. • Enjoy the beauty of living and working in a four-season resort community with 150 inches average snowfall. FACILITY HIGHLIGHTS: • 46 Bed acute care facility with 34 bed skilled nursing unit attached. • Fully JCAHO accredited and includes three federally certified Rural Health Clinics. • 24 hour physician staffed Emergency Department • Completely renovated patient service areas in 2006 with state of the art facilities, to include Surgical suites, OR procedure rooms, Radiology with the first open bore MRI in Michigan, Rehabilitation Services and more. • Quality conscious staff and administrative team provide an excellent working environment. • Physicians enjoy a wide variety of cases due to the minimal amount of subspecialties available on site. COMMUNITY PROFILE: • Gaylord is centrally located with easy access in the heart of the northern lower peninsula of Michigan.
