Work in ED will involve seeing patients registered for emergency care at facility. A typical work day involves seeing 10-15 new patients in emergency room from 8 AM to 8 PM shift. Volume is lesser during the night shift. Typically ER physicians would not be required to provide inpatient coverage, but rarely, during non administrative hours, they might be asked to cover the hospital inpatients if no other physician is available. Rarely Emergency Room is too busy that it requires more than one physician, back up from staff primary care physicians will be provided by facility in those cases. The facility has a total of 42 acute beds (including psychiatry, surgical, general medical and ICU beds); attached Community Living Center has another 38 beds. The medical center main campus has several primary care outpatient clinics; and majority of subspecialty and surgical services are available. The facility has several 9-10 outreach clinics called CBOC which serve as a referral base, besides the main campus. Total number of patients enrolled in the healthcare system is approximately 28000
