The volume is lower than city ERs, but we do see a wide diversity of patient complaints (with a wide variety of patient acuity). We have a physician staff the ER from 8a - 8p (sometime this is a divided shift, but no overlap), a physician staff the ER from 8p - 8a, and an urgent care provider that works from 8:30am to 9:00 pm, (this tends to be one person at a time, with a slight overlap in the morning). The coverage for this ER physician would be from 8pm - 8am, every night during the period of performance. Since one person would not be able to cover all these shifts, we expect this position to be filled by 2-4 people.”
