Level II Trauma Center with 500 beds needs staff physicians for their Emergency Department which has an annual volume of 35,000 patient visits. Department has dedicated radiology suite which offers specialized imaging 24 hours a day, including CTs and a dedicated ear, nose and throat suite as well as a Fast Track to help expedite treatment. ED is supported by an experienced staff of health professionals specializing in the care of cardiovascular conditions, including heart attach and stroke. Angioplasty and other interventional cardiac procedures are available 24 hours per day through the hospitals Cardiovascular Institute. Hospital follows nationally recommended protocols for stroke care including the delivery of clot-busting medications when appropriate and, in severe cases, intra-arterial injection of TPA. This excellent teaching hospital has the region?s largest burn center and the only center verified by the American Burn Association and the American college of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. ED has residents rotating through department. Pay is $105 per hour, plus 4 weeks paid vacation and 1 week paid CME time plus full benefits. Facility is located in very nice older metro area.
