Smaller independent group of Emergency Physicians needs one full time staff physician to fulfill their contract at community hospital which is part of a larger health system. Facility is near University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and one hr. from Birmingham in a service area of 80,000 to 100,000. Group has been in Existence since 1984, is very stable and hospital has a pleasant working environment. ED has low acuity with 5-10% of patients admitted, 17 beds, annual patient volume of 40,000 with 18 hrs. of daily NP coverage. Group is offering competitive hourly base pay plus full health benefits for family; paid malpractice insurance, $2,000 CME, paid dues, and pension plan.
