BC/BE Endocrinologist needed to join this group. This is a Central Florida based purpose-driven group medical practice rooted in high quality, patient-centric health care. They are the patient?s Medical Home, where the Physicians are fully empowered to provide the best in care to their patients by following evidence-based care protocols and are supported by a team focused on preventive health and coordinated, comprehensive care.
This group has earned and enjoyed consistent and rapid growth ? in terms of popularity, number of providers, number of clinics, number of staff and most importantly ? number of loyal patients. It now has 5 clinic locations and expects to add 5-10 new clinic locations throughout the greater Central Florida market over the next 12-24 months. Although the clinics are principally known for their great Primary Care Physician services, they have
successfully incorporated several Specialty Care Physicians into their comprehensive care model, including
Endocrinology and Orthopedic Surgery. Their practice is focused on serving the geriatric population with a further
strategic focus on patients in Medicare Advantage programs. They also work with all major insurance plans,
including traditional Medicare, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, and
many others.
The group is seeking purpose-driven, passionate Physicians to meet the needs of their growing patient base and to join their continuing efforts to build the definitive best-in-class geriatric health care delivery platform. They
have witnessed and expect to continue to experience significant growth and expansion. they have an immediate
need for 5 physicians and multiple physician extenders. Their goal is to expand to 50 clinic locations and more than 100 physicians in the next 5 years.
Position Summary
? Provides comprehensive care with a focus on Medicare and Medicare Advantage beneficiaries
? Practices evidence-based medicine
? Delivers a patient-centric Medical Home experience
? Focuses on preventive medicine and health services
? Follows care protocols for medical management
? Diagnoses and treats common and complex illnesses
? Participates in pro-rata call (on phone) shared with other physicians
? Accurately documents and codes all conditions (acute, chronic and status)
? Appropriately determines need for consultant / specialty services
? Coordinates with consultants / specialists / hospitalists / SNFists for delivery of appropriate care
? Uses EMR proficiently and effectively
? Focuses on quality as measured by HEDIS, CMS 5-Star, etc.
Position Requirements
? MD or DO
? Active Florida Medical License required
? Board Certification strongly preferred, Board Eligible will be considered
? Experience in a full risk, Medicare Advantage focused practice strongly preferred
? Experience in a group medical practice required
? Previous EMR usage experience required
? Knowledge of Medicare Risk Adjustment (condition coding) preferred
Position Specifications
? Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., with some Saturdays possible
? Four or five day work week available
