We are currently recruiting a full-time Attending Endocrinologist
Responsibilities:
The Endocrinologist will report to the Chief of Division of Endocrinology and the Chair of Medicine. Responsibilities will include:
•Assessment and management of patients in the outpatient clinic
•Participate in the consultative service on Inpatient Medicine
•Implement best practices
•Assist Division Chief in implementation of strategies to improve Access
•Participate in initiatives to meet the needs of the community
•Participation in the various initiatives as directed by the Health and Hospitals Corporation
•Foster the development and implementation of practice guidelines
•Participate in Performance Improvement activities
•Attend Departmental meetings
•Supervise residents and students assigned to the Division
•Ensure that the residents acquire knowledge and skills in evaluation and management of patients with endocrinological problems
•Maintain high level of professional and academic excellence
•Ensure compliance with regulations including but not limited to HIPPA, fraud and abuse, Clinicolegal issues, timely completion of medical record
•Ensure full participation by the faculty in faculty practice
•Ensure appropriate documentation and bill in accordance with PAGNY, hospital and 3rd party guidelines
Qualifications:
The prospective candidate must be certified in Examination of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and Certified/eligible in endocrinology.
