We are MedEx a division of Enterprise Medical Services. MedEx has been asked to find a Director of Pharmacy for a 300 bed hospital in the Los Angeles, metro area.
* This job reports to the COO of the hospital with 3 direct reports and 10 FTE's in the pharmacy.
* Primary duties will be manage department budget, order supplies, scheduling & hiring and training of pharmacy personnel.
* Also, must be able to work with physicians and pharmacy staff to administer cost effective pharmacology therapy with a timely protocol.
* Antibiotic Stewardship, good communication skills and strong leadership abilities are a needed commodity.
* The ideal candidate must have a PharmD degree with a minimum of three years experience managing a pharmacy in a hospital setting and experience working directly with physicians.
