CV-ICU Nursing Manager Needed in St. Louis Metro Area
A premier healthcare system in the St. Louis Region is seeking a Nurse Manager to be responsible for the CV-ICU nursing unit, and has 24-hour responsibility for patient care and overall unit operations.
* Manager will set annual goals and operational/capital budgets. The manager ensures quality patient care is delivered consistent with established contemporary standards for patient care services. Also, maintains an effective and competent staff, using a variety of means. This person exercises judgment in identifying and resolving issues and problems. The candidate selected will apply both clinical and operational management skills to meet the established quality, patient satisfaction, and financial targets of the unit. This person accomplishes all of the above in collaboration and partnership with physicians.
* Candidate must have well-developed written/verbal skills, have analytical and problem solving skills necessary to successfully manage the operations of a nursing unit.
* This manager will have 20 direct reports and manage a new 8 bed Cardiovascular ICU.
* The position requires a minimum of three years experience in CVICU as a staff nurse or 3-5 years Nursing Management experience. Quality candidate must possess a Missouri license as a registered nurse and have a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or actively pursuing a BSN.
* Compensation based on experience and education. Benefits package will include health, life LT/ST disability, vision, dental, 3 weeks vacation, CME and 401K retirement plan as well as Hospital Pension with relocation.
