Description Matrix Providers is searching for two Family Practice Physicians to work at Weed Army Community Hospital, Fort Irwin, CA. The first position will be from 23 Oct 2012 through 1 APRIL 2013. The second position will be for a 1 year period FROM 1 January 2013 through 31 December 2013. These are full time Independent Contractor positions. Clinics have designated operating hours established by the local MTF and clinic policies, and may vary by location (typically 0730-1630); however, hours may be changed during surge activities. The HCP’s shall be able to provide services between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Duty on weekends and outside normal clinic hours may be required based on mission requirements. Work hours and days will be determined by the MTF. Schedules are subject to change due to cancellations, hospital staff changes, organization day, emergencies, exodus, training holidays and unexpected events. The Contractor shall only be paid for actual hours worked. Overtime shall be worked ONLY with the prior authorization by the COR or the designated Government official who has oversight. On-Call Services has three stages: On-Call Status, On-Call Phone Consultation, and On-Call (at the MTF). HCPs shall be available on a rotational basis including weeknights, holidays and weekends, one fourth of the time for the contract period. Qualifications - Family Practice Physicians shall meet the following qualifications: Education. Successfully completed a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from a school in the US or Canada approved by a recognizing accredited body in the year of the applicant’s application. Successfully completed a post-graduate medical training program in Family Medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or Board Certification through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP Licensure. Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a physician in any of the 50 United States or U>S> Territories. Certification/Registration. Shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted DEA certificate. Shall possess a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number as required by state agencies where the provider is licensed. Experience. Shall have a minimum of one year of in-patient experience within the last three years working as a Family Practice Physician. Residency training counts as experience.
