Novia CareClinics is seeking a Medical Director to work closely with clinic physicians and the director of nursing to ensure that the highest standards of quality and services are maintained. The Medical Director will oversee the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with Novia’s policies and procedures and other accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities • Provides strategic leadership and expertise for clinic quality and clinical effectiveness; develops systems to review utilization of resources and objectively measures outcomes of care; utilizes data to evaluate and optimize the Novia CareClinics model resulting in excellent short and long-term performance in clinical and service outcomes. • Provides on-going counsel and advice to the Novia Executive Committee of the medical staff on physician matters—the primary responsibility and authority for dealing with medical staff matters and concerns will rest with the Medical Director and Executive Committee. • Facilitates, intervenes, and moderates all major physician-physician, physician-patient, and physician-staff concerns in collaboration with the Executive Committee and the management team; represents medical staff viewpoints to administration and relays administrative views to medical staff. • Leads the clinical staff in achievement of clinical outcomes and achieving best practice goals; works closely with the leadership to achieve effective care management processes and develop new initiatives to improve clinical quality. • Implements organizational structures that will promote shared accountability, high achievement, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations; this to include the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. • Dedicates resources and time to developing physician leadership with a focus on the Novia only provider model. • Interacts with HealthCare Partners at the corporate level, coordinating reporting and collaboration with hospital and system physician leadership and physician peers. • Leads, guides, directs, and evaluates provider staff; provide feedback on individual and team performance, create on open-door environment, and build credibility with team. • Assists in the provider recruitment process; interviews and provides feedback to human resources on potential candidates.
