We are currently seeking a medical physician (MD or DO) for the position of Medical Director. Depending upon the individual circumstances of the selected candidate, this position can be either part-time (15 to 20 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week).
The Medical Director must truly be a team player. Effective coordination of chiropractic care, medical care and physical therapy is essential. The person selected for this position will have strong communication skills and a willingness to work freely and openly with the rest of the professional staff. We provide comprehensive care to our patients and, as such, it is imperative that each member of the team recognizes and appreciates the input from the other team players.
A background in physical medicine and rehabilitation is preferred, but certainly not necessary. We will provide thorough training. Responsibilities include:
• Initial medical assessments and periodic re-assessments
• Recommendation of appropriate laboratory studies and diagnostic testing
• Formation of working diagnosis
• Coordination of treatment recommendations with other professional providers in the group
• Creation of treatment plan
• Supervise and/or administer intramuscular injections
• Supervise and/or administer joint injections, with and without ultrasound guidance
• Supervise and/or perform various diagnostic testing procedures
• Prescription of medical supplies, orthotic supports and durable medical equipment
• Prescription of medication
Our hours of operation are daily from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. The Medical Director’s schedule will be a combination of morning and afternoon/evening hours to accommodate the needs of our patients.
Compensation: based upon a full-time position, the salary ranges from $115,000 to $135,000 per year, depending upon past experience and suitability for the position. Compensation for a part-time position is adjusted proportionately.
