Sign charts and orders, perform comprehensive history and physicals to new inmates. History of patients with hypertension, diabetes, alcohol and narcotics detox, some suturing and IND (preferred but not required). The individual may work in the outpatient clinic or in the jail infirmary. Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for patients in a correctional facility. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions; maintain medical records and charts documenting all medical services rendered. Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate. Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required. Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Male and Female Population about 20 patients per day
Two days per week at their county jail. Any 2 days between M-F (8/hr days),
BC or BE in a Primary Care Specialty (FP, IM, GP)
DEA, BLS/CPR, FL licensure
