Description Bariatric Surgery Practice - Large Referral Base! Northwest Texas Healthcare System is recruiting a new Bariatric Surgeon to the community of Amarillo, Texas. This is a private practice opportunity to join another Bariatric Surgeon in practice. The surgeon in the practice is well trained and experienced in bariatric procedures. There is a large referral for bariatric services. The new Bariatric Surgeon will be welcomed to the medical community and can expect to build a successful practice. Candidates will be MIS trained with case experience in all procedures of bariatrics ? laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric by-pass and lap banding. There is opportunity to do other gastric surgeries including endoscopy if a surgeon is interested. An outstanding compensation package including income guarantee, overhead expenses, relocation, partnership track and more will be offered. The Bariatrics Program at NWTHS is fully staffed with all specialty support services represented on staff including patient education, dietary counseling, pulmonology, cardiology, psychiatry, gastroenterology and aftercare. The program staff are very involved in community, medical professional and patient education seminars. The hospital is operationally and financially committed to the allocation of space, equipment and other valuable resources to further develop services.
