Excellent Government locum tenens Hematology-Oncology job available in Pennsylvania. This great opportunity will begin in late May and last three months with possible extensions, if agreed upon by both parties. Qualified providers will be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology-Oncology and must have current BCLS certification. The locum tenens physician can expect to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, seeing about 25 patients per day. The locums doctor will see outpatients directly in the oncology and chemotherapy clinics and perform oncology consults on inpatients. Procedures which may be required to be performed include: Bone marrow biopsies/aspiration (needle), LPs with installment of drugs, paracentesis w/installation of drugs, injection of IV chemotherapy, abdominal paracentesis, local anesthesia, and thoracentesis. Candidates must possess basic computer skills and the ability to type/keyboard and enter medical information into the medical record system via the computer.
