Job/Practice Description:
Duties would include direct patient care and consultation of hematology oncology patients. This would include prescription of current chemotherapy protocols for various malignancies as well as supervising on site infusion services. Consultation to the anticoagulation clinic would also be required. Participation in appropriate Tumor Board to guide therapy if needed.
Work Schedule
8:00-5:30p 5 days per week with the expectation initially of this being Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
US Citizenship or permanent Resident, MD or DO degree, Unrestricted license to practice medicine, Board certification in Hematology/Oncology or recent graduate sitting for the boards within one year. Internal Medicine certification achieved, Ability to pass appropriate background check to work for the US government, Knowledge of electronic medical records and reasonable degree of computer literacy, Ability to work in high volume fast paced environment supervising PA’s and NPs as required, High degree of personal integrity, Ability to be privileged in the VETPRO credentialing system, Demonstrated ability to perform those procedures coincident with the practice of hematology/oncology. Ability to interpret appropriate diagnostic testing within the sub specialty as well as the internal medicine specialty.
