Provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and continuing care for a variety of new and follow-up patients seen in the Hematology/Oncology Clinic and inpatient wards. Physicians must work 8 hours per day seeing approximately 10-15 patients per day, Monday thru Friday with weekends off. Provide disease management, diagnostic activities, medication management, physical examinations, education and counseling and emergency care when needed. Document all care in computerized medical record. Initiate consults for patients for any specialty needs. Consult with and assist with the management of patients with specialists when necessary. Review, order and write prescriptions as needed. Continuous tracking of abnormal tests as needed. The need to provide care for unscheduled or urgent care patients. Complete requests for medical information as needed. Respond to consults for inpatients for Hematology/Oncology
