Rare locum tenens Hematology/Oncology job opportunity in southeastern Georgia. This single-physician practice is in need of vacation coverage over their two outpatient centers in from June 13-20. A typical day is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with beeper call during the week. Call coverage will also be needed for the one weekend that the physician will be out. The support of a NP and full administrative staff will help to make rounding and call more manageable. Each of the two outpatient centers has seven infusion chairs where the physician supervises chemotherapy. Their will be no bone marrow or transplant procedures required. Locums physician will see an average of 10-12 patients per day, 2-8 possible inpatients per day, and a total of 20-25 follow-ups for the week. All new consults will be scheduled before or after the locums physician, so no new patients will need to be seen during the assignment.
