Location: Central CA Specialty Requested: Hospitalist (HOS) Other Acceptable Specialties: IM preferred, may consider FP with ample experience Start Date: ASAP / Upon credentialing (up to 3 months) End Date or Ongoing Coverage: Ongoing coverage Minimum Length of Initial Coverage: 3 months+ / (Temp to Perm is an option) Type of Clinic (MSG, SSG, Solo, CH): Hospital Schedule: About 15-17 shifts per month. Someone would need to be flexible with their schedule. Would include both day and night shifts. Nights are 6am-6pm (admitting only), Days 6am-6pm (rounding admitting), evenings are either 4pm-2am or 4pm-midnight depending on hospital (admitting only). ***flexibility with schedule is required. No 7 on/7 off available. Block shifts. Patient Volume: Round on about 14 during day with about 7 admits, about 12 admits on night/evening (admits only on night/evening) Patient Ages: 18+ IP/OP: 100% inpatient Call: N/A Support Staff: Full sub-specialty support with Critical Care backup Responsibilities (ICU, Vents, OB, etc): Round on ICU, admit vent patients, Critical Care backup is available Charting/Dictation: EMR BC/BE Requirement: BC/BE (within 3 years) Privileges Required? (turnaround): Yes: about 3 months DEA / CSR Requirements: DEA required Certification Requirements (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, etc.): ACLS Additional information: Hospitalist team is 50, cover 4 hospitals but incoming candidate would be primarily based out of one hospital.
