Qualitas Locum Tenens is the new locums division of EmCare. We are seeking a Hawaii licensed Hospitalist physician for coverage needs.
The Queen’s Medical Center – West O’ahu is an 80 bed facility. The goal of The Queen’s Medical Center – West O’ahu is to fulfill the intent of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV to provide in perpetuity quality health care services to improve the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all of the People of Hawaii. “Compassion, Aloha, Respect, and Excellence” is their quest.
The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu, formerly known as Hawaii Medical Center, is an 80-bed facility that is set to open its doors in March of 2014. The West Oahu Campus will operate under The Queen’s Health Systems, parent of The Queen’s Medical Center – Main Campus. The Queen’s Health System has been providing quality health care services for over 153 years to the surrounding communities. They are committed to fulfilling their mission by improving the well-being of Native Hawaiian’s and all of the people of Hawaii.
Program Details:
48 hours of physician coverage (3 day shifts and 1 night shift)
50 encounters per day on average
Must be BC/BE in IM with Hospitalist experience
BLS and ACLS required
Must be comfortable with central lines and intubation
Daily support of an MLP; Excellent support from the Site & Associate Medical Directors
No peds, no trauma, no OB, no oncology (all go to main campus hospital)
Procedures: only intubation and central lines
Back up: General surgery, ortho, GI, cardiology, radiology, 24 hour intensivist, 24 hour ANE, no interventional cardiology or radiology, no peds, no OB, no dialysis
