VISTA Physician Search and Consulting is representing a large, prestigious hospital in upstate New York that was recently ranked one of the Best Integrated Healthcare Networks in the United States. We are currently seeking a BC/BE Internist interested in practicing as a Hospitalist. Highlights of this full-time, permanent position include:
Practice Benefits:
* System currently consists of a 120-bed acute care hospital with 65 Med/Surg and 8 ICU/CCU beds. System also has a nursing home, 24-hour emergency department and 5 outreach centers which offer a wide range of clinic and diagnostic services
* Full-time (80 hours biweekly) day shifts consist of 8-, 10- or 12-hour shifts, typically block schedules. Shifts may vary, starting at 7:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m.
* No call required
* Average census for the hospitalist program varies from 45 to 65
* Typically 3 providers on during the day, which is a combination of physicians and mid-levels and 1 provider at night
* Hospitalist will perform intubations and manage vents. Emergency physicians/anesthesiologists available to assist
