Olean, NY- The Hospitalist Medical Director organizes and oversees medical care rendered in the Hospital; monitors the quality of patient care and professional performance rendered by physicians and mid-level providers within the program to ensure their competency; conducts written annual performance reviews of all physicians and mid-level providers; promotes professional development; supervises all physicians holding temporary or provisional appointments; creates and manages monthly hospitalist schedule to ensure that all shifts are covered. The Director will work a fair share of nights, weekends and holidays to the extent that the schedule is fair to all, notwithstanding that the Director must be available on many weekdays for meetings and other departmental responsibilities. S/he will serve as a member of the Medical Executive Committee and is fully integrated into various other hospital committees’ and the medical staff. Requirements: the Medical Director should reflect the values of the Hospital and Exigence, including compassion, high ethical and moral values, fairness, honesty and integrity. S/he should demonstrate leadership, initiative, clinical excellence, patience and possess solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
