Locums Hospitalist Job For January Ongoing in Southern Virginia #39799

Allergy & Immunology Job Details Apply for Job
Description Looking for a great new job opportunity to start off a great New Year? Our client has an urgent need for a locums Hospitalist starting in January 2011 at their beautiful facility, located in southern Virginia, due to starting a new Hospitalist program. The right candidate will be BC/BE in Internal Medicine and performing ICU procedures is not a requirement, nor will you need to run codes or responses, because the hospital is fully equipped with Intensivists to handle those situations. The schedule is a standard 7 on/off, 12-hour shifts of 7A-7P and 7P-7A, and the client would like to have someone with the flexibility to do both, or at least be willing to take turns on picking up a week of nights here or there. The patient volume is about 90 ppd, but that's split between five Hospitalists during the day and one Nocturnist at night. The day providers will round on patients in the ICU, but again, no procedures. The night shift is busy, so don't plan on catching any shut-eye! You will see about 8-10 admissions in one night while keeping your eye on the rest of the floor. The credentialing process takes about two months and they are very thorough. The money is great and this opportunity can last about six months. If you are interested in becoming perm, which is likely, considering this is an outstanding facility, we will help you through that process too! When you aren't working, you'll find much to do in the area, including lots of parks, golf courses, horseback riding, lakes for fishing and boating, shopping areas, fine dining restaurants, and so much more! What are you waiting for? If you want to make a change for the coming year - let this be it!
