Allergy & Immunology Job Details Apply for Job
Description Locum tenens Hospitalist job opportunity in the state of Ohio! Not only is this a great opportunity and located in a phenomenal area of Ohio, the location offers easy access to the cultural amenities of three major metropolitan areas while retaining the traditions and atmosphere of a small Midwestern town. Hospitalist group of four has coverage needs starting ASAP and lasting at least through the end of the year due to two of their physicians leaving. One physician went to fellowship and the other physician also works with the Air Force and got stationed elsewhere. They are looking for full-time coverage 7on/7off; day coverage of 7a-7p. Physician will be working alongside one additional physician during the day shift; evening doctor taking over ER admits/calls starting at 6:30pm. This permits the day physician with overlap to complete day tasks. ER physician will run all codes, but they typically respond and take over if it’s their patients and they feel comfortable doing so. Typical patient census is 15-20 patients per day, with 5-6 new admits per shift; that is included in the total of 15-20 patients. They cover all ER admits and area PCPs, except four private physicians who still cover their own admits. They admit complicated surgical patients and consult surgery/ortho, if warranted, but if it is a straightforward surgical or ortho case without comorbidities, they are often not involved unless consulted. All traumas are admitted to trauma panel physicians (not them, although they may be consulted). No central lines, vents, or trauma required since they have Intensivists along with the second- and third-year ER residents who typically do all procedures.
