Our client, located in southeastern North Carolina, just outside of one of the state’s biggest cities, has a job opportunity for a BC Internal Medicine locums Hospitalist from November, 2010 through February, 2011, and they want to identify that person right away. Ideally, they are seeking a candidate with 3-5 years of Hospitalist experience, so this isn’t a role for someone just out of residency. The work shifts are the standard 12-hour days, 7A - 7P, with no after-hours beeper call, running Monday through Sunday. This is a good-sized facility with double coverage during the day and an average patient census of 15-20 ppd, which includes the admissions. This job does require that the Hospitalist have ICU procedures experience, including central lines, vent management, and intubations. They have the sub-specialties available on-site which include Cardiologists, Radiologists, Anesthesiologists, General Surgeons, Nurse Practitioners, and more. The credentialing process takes 60-90 days, and emergency credentialing is not available, so you don’t want to wait on this one. Since this is near one of North Carolina’s hot spots, you’ll find everything to do here, including top professional sporting events, concerts, nightlife, shopping, theater, and some of the most beautiful countryside you’ve ever seen.
