Our client, located in northeastern Florida, has an urgent need to add a locums Hospitalist to their group at the end of June. For this job opportunity, the ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Internal Medicine and have an active Florida license. ICU procedures are not required. The schedule is atypical - more of a 5 on/4 off or 5 on/2 off, 8-hour days during the week and 12-hour days every other Saturday and Sunday. There will be after-hours off-site beeper call coverage one in every four days worked, but the Hospitalist provider doesn't have to return to the facility. Days are dual coverage, but the best part is that there are several Nurse Practitioners who start the rounding, handle all the patient paperwork, dictation, discharges, and cover the H & Ps. The Hospitalist will round on patients in the ICU (again, no procedures) and round on the floor patients with a patient census of 30-35 ppd. Now, that's not strenuous when you aren't doing the paperwork! Our client says it makes for a very enjoyable day for the Hospitalists! There is every imaginable sub-specialist available, including 24/7 Intensivists, Pulmonologists, and Cardiologists. The Emergency Department handles all codes and rapid responses. Credentialing can be completed within four to five weeks with a clean record. Did we mention the pay on this job is…in a word…outstanding?
