Our client is starting a new Hospitalist service at their facility located in central Texas which is requiring them to reach out to locums physicians to help fill the need while they continue a search for permanent physicians to join the group. They are looking to add locums doctors starting ASAP and anticipate the need through the end of October. The ideal candidate is BC Internal Medicine with Hospitalist experience and a strong comfort level with ICU procedures, such as central lines, vent management, and intubations. Schedule is 7 on / 7 off, 7A – 7P, alternating night call with the other day doctor; so double coverage during the day, single coverage at night. Patient census of 15 ppd and locums needs to be comfortable performing ICU procedures until they bring a perm Pulmonologist on in August. Anesthesiologists and ED will handle codes and rapid response. There is plenty of sub-specialty support on-site, such as General Surgery, Radiology, Ortho, Anesthesiology, Urology, etc., with Pulm/CC coming onboard in August. We have a doctor working for this client at a nearby facility and the verdict is “top-notch” client and “top-notch job opportunity”; so if that says anything, you’ll be quite happy! When you are not working, you can take in some true Southern hospitality, along with plenty of outdoor recreation, restaurants, shopping, sporting events, and historical landmarks to visit. The credentialing for this facility can be completed in two weeks; so please give us a call so we can get you working!
