Our client has just started new Hospitalist service in their facility located in southern Arkansas and has an urgent need for a locums Hospitalist to come on board ASAP. The right candidate will be BC/BE in Internal Medicine and no ICU procedures are required; the Emergency Department handles the procedures, as well as codes and rapid responses. The schedule is 7 on/off with 12-hour days and there would be night call every night of the shift. (Oh, just think of the extra dollars – and there would be quite a bit!) Patient census is currently 7-8 ppd, but when the program is up and fully running, the census will be closer to 15 ppd, which includes 2-3 admissions. Coverage is single during the day, since this is a new program, and returning to the facility during the night call would be minimal, if at all. (But again, think of those overtime dollars!) There’s plenty of sub-specialty support available, such as Pulmonology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, General Surgery, and more. After work, you can take in the Southern hospitality, as well as the symphony and arts centers. Yes, this community is quite the cultural Mecca! There are plenty of fine restaurants, movie theaters, and hiking and cycling trails to partake in! Because of the emergency nature of this situation, the client can complete credentialing within a week, so don’t wait! The faster you call us, the faster you can not only help a new service get up to speed, but you can watch that money roll in!
