Are there any Nocturnists out there looking for an extra week of work in western Michigan? If so, listen up! Our client has a job opportunity for a Nocturnist for a week of coverage at a hospital in western Michigan. The hospital consistently has sporadic coverage needs, so this could turn into a bigger opportunity. Start date is January 31, 2011. Schedule is 7p - 7a, with NO CALL. The need is to add a 6th Hospitalist to the group and there is an average of 6 - 10 admits on the night shift. The Hospitalist will be responsible for the ICU coverage and Med / Surg coverage, as well as medical consults on the Psych unit. There are two midlevels for backup support. Hospitalist will be responsible for covering codes, with the ED available to assist if the Hospitalist is occupied. ICU responsibilities include: inserting central lines, manage vents, EKG interpretations, and intubations are preferred. Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and have a Michigan controlled substance license. The patient volume is mostly adults. Candidates should respond immediately, if interested!
