1 HOUR FROM CHICAGO. This assignment is for a hospitalist starting immediately and is ongoing until they can find a permanent physician. The credentialing time frame is 2 weeks. The schedule is 7am to 7pm and 7 on / 7 off. Call by phone is required on the days the hospitalist works from 7pm to 7am the next morning. Very few procedures because they have ER physicians and intensivists. The locums physician will be working with 4 other hospitalists. ER physicians do most of the admissions. The patient load is 12 to 15 patients per day. Board Certification in internal medicine or family medicine required.
