North Carolina Hospitalist Locum Tenens opportunity. New Hospitalist opportunity in beautiful North Carolina. This opportunity is available starting as early as April 2012. This is an outstanding opportunity for candidates interested in Locum Tenens to Permanent opportunities. This opportunity is ideally suited for Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained physicians with experience in Pediatric to Adult inpatient care. Physician will provide traditional inpatient Hospitalist care including admissions, rounding, consults and discharges. The physician can expect an average patient load of 5-6 patients per day. Physician will be expected to round on patients in the 4 bed ICU. General Surgery support handles line procedures and vent management is handled in conjunction with the Respiratory Therapist. The positions offer excellent work hours of 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. There is also an option to work a 7 on 7 off schedule in a rotation with another provider at the hospital. This schedule will still essentially be M-F, but will then include call coverage starting Friday evening at 5pm, then rounding and call for Saturday and Sunday. This block schedule will end on Monday mornings at 8am. We are offering an excellent hourly compensation, paid malpractice insurance, and paid travel and housing.
