We provide culturally competent primary care in a community health clinic serving agricultural workers and other low-income populations. A Peditrician to work with one mid-level and one other physician in a rural community. The health center has 8 patient rooms, 1 lab, two counseling rooms and Dr.'s offices. We will be going live with electronic health records in September 2009. Training will be provided. Must assist in the CHCs health management and integrated behavioral health programs.
AVENAL COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER (ACHC)
ACHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center and licensed primary care clinic. We provide medical and dental care, with additional specialists in Endodontics, Psychology, Podiatry and Optometry. The community of 10,000 is 86% Hispanic, with the majority of the population working in agriculture. ACHC is located in Kings County, California, just 5 minutes west of Interstate 5.
Avenal is located within 2 to 3 hours from beaches, mountains, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The nearest cities in Kings County include Lemoore and Hanford which are 30 to 40 minutes away. Fresno is the nearest metropolitan area at just over an hour away and includes the nearest international airport.
