Job/Practice Description:
The examination reports must provide essential information to support each disability diagnosed for the following areas: musculoskeletal; organs of sense; infectious, immune, and nutritional deficiencies; respiratory; cardiovascular; digestive; genitourinary; gynecological and breast; hemic and lymphatic; skin; endocrine; neurologic; mental disorders; dental and oral examinations. Offerors must be able to perform detailed medical disability examinations for veterans and separated service members within 20 mile distance from Washington DC. Processing for veterans who have filed a claim for disability compensation or pension benefits. The contractor shall provide the full range of medical disability examinations for the following areas; musculoskeletal; organs of sense; infectious, immune, and nutritional deficiencies; respiratory; cardiovascular; digestive; genitourinary; gynecological and breast; hemic and lymphatic; skin; endocrine; neurologic (including neuropsychological exams for traumatic brain injury); and mental disorders, including post traumatic stress disorder ("PTSD"). Based on specific VA requests, special purpose examinations shall be provided including: cold injury protocol, and aid and attendance or housebound status examinations. The contract may require up to 300 examinations per month, of various medical specialties as listed above. Compensation will be provided on a per-examination basis.
Work Schedule:
(8:00am – 4:30pm) weekdays, possibly weekends
Qualifications:
Board certified or eligible, having successfully completed a residency program in one of the following medical specialties: General Medicine, Orthopedics, Oncology, Mental Health, Neurology, ENT, Optometry Audiology, Urology, Podiatry, Dermatology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, Or, other specialties as requirements they may occur.
