Description Internal Medicine: Northern Nevada: currently NO formal Hospitalist Program at this point However, offer Five Other Options: (1) Option 1 - Join an MSG. The Clinic is a 60 year old, physician owned group that is located in a 32,000 square foot facility right on the hospital campus. Multi-specialties are offered in OBGYN, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Pathology. The facility also has a full laboratory and x-ray department. This is a new position. Starting collections guarantee is about $190K. The average internist makes about $225K per year working lightly, and a couple of them make well over $300K. We have one Internist who bills close to $500,000. A full benefits package including major medical, dental, vision, paid mal practice paid, CME, etc. Group uses EMR. Relocation and a sign on bonus offered as well. (2) Option 2 - Join Single Family Practice. Dr. open four days a week, Monday Thursday. Dr. works usually 10-12 hours a day and has an urgent care practice. He is seeing about 25-40 patients a day and has a fair amount of workers compensation. He is looking for an IM / FP who wants to take the lead of the practice within 2 years. This is an employed position of the hospital. Dr. is well connected in the community and the movers and shakers in the community go to him. He has a nice facility and this is currently an all out patient practice. . Looking for somebody that can allow him to back down to 2-3 days a week. Office is a mile and a half from the hospital. His inpatient is being handled by another Internist in the community. He is a super physician and has a great personality! (3) Option 3 Join Internist. THIS IS A NEW DYNAMITE POSITION!. This is for a candidate who is available this year or early 2010. The need is for hungry Internal Medicine or Family Practice candidate who wants to walk into a fully established busy and lucrative practice and stay in the office doing outpatient only work. This practice sees 40 patients a day and is the busiest in town. He has a 2,700 sq foot office. Employed or Contracted. This practice is the Crown Jewel opportunity. He is the 2nd busier admitter to the hospital (4) Option 4 - Go into Private Practice and be an Independent Contractor. For the candidate who is very independent and prefers having control of his situation and sharing call with others we offer the private practice route. This route offers personal control, freedom, and flexibility of time while still receiving assistance with the business side of the practice if wanted. This route also offers the more lucrative situation over being employed. (5) Option 5 - Be a Hospital Employee and share call with others. For the candidate who does not want to be concerned about the business side of practice but does not mind not having control of time and practice.
