The qualified Family Practice/Internal Medicine Physician will support the Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic located in beautiful Malone, NY. Located in the Adirondacks, Malone is not a far drive from Lake Placid, Lake Champlaign/Plattsburgh, or even Montreal. If you love the outdoors and the fresh clean mountain air and would like the time to enjoy it, our clinic’s 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday – Friday schedule will be perfect for you.
As our Physician, you will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
* Treating patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols.
* Supervising and providing general screening and medical care examinations of patients for routine, acute episodic and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; and diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated.
* Promoting preventive and health maintenance care, including physicals examinations, immunizations, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
* Prescribing and dispensing medications as delineated by pharmacy and therapeutic protocols; educate patients on proper dosage schedule, expected effects, and undesirable side effects that should be reported; and document instructions given to patient in medical record.
