Job/Practice Description:
Provide ongoing primary care in our longitudinal medical clinics. Initial evaluation and therapy of acute and chronic problems. Chronic medical problems commonly seen in the veteran population include such disorders as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, angina and pain. Judicious use of laboratory and x-ray services as well as appropriate referral and consultation is obtained. Document evaluation and treatment recommendations in the VA electronic medical record. All progress notes, consults, and/or clinical procedure reports, etc. must be completed (including signature) within 24 hours
Work Schedule
8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. No overtime is authorized unless previously approved by the Assistant Chief of Staff, Ambulatory Care Service or designee.
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Active Un-restricted license, TB, Rubella, Varicella
