Job/Practice Description:
Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers in accordance with MTF policies and regulations. Shall provide outpatient services for patients as scheduled by the Government. Shall include but not be limited to routine general internal medicine care to include care for acute and chronic patient conditions. Become the primary care manager for panels of patients become the primary care manager for a panel of patients becomes the primary care manager for a panel of patients. Specific duties/patient care assignments will be made by the internal medicine chief. Inpatient support is provided by the residency program. All inpatients will be admitted to the residency service. Shall provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur.
Work Schedule:
Duty hours shall vary between 0600-2400 seven days a week. The MTF will notify the HCP seven days prior to any changes in shifts. Normal hours will be 8-12 hours per day, not to exceed (80) eighty hours in fourteen (14) calendar days. Over the 80 hours in 14 days may be authorized for the HCP. The Contractor shall provide full coverage (continuous presence) during the required hours of performance.
Qualifications:
Active State License, Basic Life Support (BLS) – (initially and renewal)*
