Coney Island Hospital is care for the “whole person” and seek to heal patients, their families and its diverse community in a way that respects both individuality and culture.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are currently recruiting for a full-time Attending Neonatologist.</p> <p><br />Join a team of 3 full time Neonatologists provide 24 hour/7 day per week in house coverage. </p> <p>With the addition of a 4th Neonatologist in house, there will be no need to have "on-call" however in the event of multiple births, disaster, etc. someone is always designated as a "back up" neonatolgist.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are a Level II NICU. We had been closed since the hurricane on 10/29/12 and reopened our unit in June 2013. Births are slowly going up, and approximately 1/3rd of all of our newborns are currently being admitted to the NICU. We had 1200 births per year prior to the hurricane and hope to be at that level again soon. </p>
