A solo Neonatologist is in need of full-time help at Laredo, Texas’ largest medical center. This NICU is a Level III and has an average census of 10-14 babies. The nursery has six ventilators, with two being occupied on a regular basis. The Neonatologist will have five RNs to assist per shift and will take call at night via beeper. The hospital sees about 400 births per month and about 30 are high-risk deliveries. The Neonatologist is also expected to attend all C-section births. You would be responsible for covering the unit 50% of the time and the other doctor is flexible with arranging a schedule.
