Description UHS is assisting Texas Tech University & Northwest Texas Healthcare System in the recruitment of a Neonatologist to join an academic multi-specialty practice. Located in Amarillo, TX, this is an academic opportunity with a tenure progression system. The group consist of 3 Physicians and 5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Physician call is rotated among the physicians and is split equally. In house call is covered by nurse practitioners. Candidates should be Board Certified in Pediatrics and completed a Neonatal –Perinatal fellowship. Competitive salary, excellent medical/dental benefits, vacation, CME allowance and paid malpractice insurance. Relocation and interview expenses offered and a sign on bonus is negotiable. Northwest Texas Healthcare System serves the city of Amarillo and the surrounding region. The area has four distinct seasons. All faiths are represented in the community. The public schools are excellent and there are parochial and private schools available. Amarillo Community College is located in the city and West Texas A & M is located fifteen minutes from Amarillo. Amarillo has many cultural activities, which include the Amarillo Symphony and Opera, the Lone Star Ballet, and several theater groups. Recreational activities are plentiful. Located in north Texas the city is about five hours from Albuquerque, six hours from Denver and an hour' flight to Dallas.
