Excellent locums tenens job opportunity for a Neurologist in southern Indiana. Hospital-based Neuro needs coverage beginning this winter and can be every other month for up to six months. Typical day consists of starting to see patients around 8:30 AM; typically 18-22 patients/day. This is a mixture of new patients/consults, follow-ups, and EMGs as well. Client will cluster schedule EMGs just for efficiency purposes. This would also entail hospital consultation coverage, which seem to go in waves; approximately 20 per month. Lastly, reading EEGs and being available to ER for emergencies, such as administering TPA, would also be required. There is one clinical assistant and one office manager, both of whom do a nice job of having everything ready for the MD, so he/she can see the patient and move on to the next patient.
