Jacobi Medical Center is a 500 bed hospital located in the Bronx, New York and a Level 1 Trauma Center. Jacobi performs approximately 2,000 deliveries per year. North Central Bronx Hospital is a community hospital with 200+ beds located in the Bronx, New York. About 200+ deliveries are performed at NCBH each year. Both hospitals are academic affiliates of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one department which covers both Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital. The department offers a full range of Obstetric and Gynecologic services including: general and high risk obstetric care; genetic counseling and testing; ultrasound; general gynecologic care and family planning; ambulatory surgical procedures and minimally invasive and open gynecologic surgical procedures. Jacobi Medical Center is the winner of the 2011 HANYS Pinnacle Safety Award and 2011 National Association of Public Hospitals Safety Award.
Responsibilities: We are looking for a capable BE/BC Ob-Gyn generalist who is energetic and looking to work with a diverse patient population. Candidate must be willing to:
•Provide general obstetric and gynecologic patient care in the inpatient as well as outpatient setting. •Train and supervise Residents, Medical students and Physician Assistants. •Collaborate with Midwives. •Adhere to departmental and hospital guidelines as well as the North Bronx Healthcare Network Code of Conduct.
•Participate in CME and performance improvement activities as required.
Qualifications:
•Board Certification/Eligibility in OB/GYN •Current NYS license •Strong teaching and leadership skills
