Federal agency is seeking Manager/Instructor to train physicians and staff in official compensation and pension procedures; implement protocols, policies and procedures developed by the facility; attend monthly in-service physician staff meetings; QA and training; cooperative training/regular meetings with the VA Regional Benefits Office. Occupational Medicine physicians, board eligible/certified with residency training experienced in: environmental toxin exposures; radiation; herbicides; pesticides; environmental illness; occupational disease and injury; pre-placement examinations; drug screen medical review MRO certified; and impairment and disability evaluation. This is a per diem position with a one year renewable contract. Responsibilities will include: Providing oral and/or written consultations resulting from reviews of SSA disability case files; consulting with SSAs medical policy staff related to the development of SSA disability policies; training other Medical Consultant contractors and other personnel; working with government and non-government agencies and/or medical or non-medical personnel that have related interests in providing input regarding SSA programs and its objectives. There will be no contact with patients. A security background screening will be necessary. A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with equivalent training and credentials can be substituted for one of the 3 positions. Salary is negotiable.
