This position is responsible for providing expert medical analysis of complex claims files. This includes such matters as providing opinions on work capacity, on the presence or absence of pre-existing conditions, on diagnostic criteria and therapeutic approaches to medical conditions and other determinations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provides timely and accurate medical analyses and opinions to the Benefits Operations staff.
Applies current medical knowledge to medical data regarding diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and impairment, etc.
Conducts 1 on 1 and group training to improve the Benefits Operations staff's knowledge and efficiency.
Interacts with the insured's attending healthcare provider(s).
