Description The Arora Group, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Occupational Health Physician to provide care in the Occupational Health Clinic at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, Havelock, NC. This position provides medical care to Active Duty military members and civil service employees working the Naval installation.

This Occupational Health Physician position is a full-time position, working 40-hr weeks, Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Services are normally not required on holidays.

DUTIES OF THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PHYSICIAN:
  • Provide a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the clinic's Commanding Officer.
  • Technically direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of, other health care professionals seeing patients within the scope of their clinical privileges or responsibilities.
  • Promote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
  • ​Provide limited medical services to employees for non-occupational conditions which entail the provision of minor treatment to enable the employee to safely and comfortably complete that work shift.
  • Render all available emergency procedures and treatment to stabilize a patient in cases of serious illness or injury.
  • Facilitate, as required, referral to the patient's private physician for definitive medical care of chronic or serious emergency conditions.
  • Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
