DESCRIPTION: The fulltime occupational medicine physician will provide medical care for active duty military and family members in support of the Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC) Portsmouth located in Kittery, Maine.
QUALIFICATIONS: LICENSE: Possess a valid, unencumbered medical license issued by any state or U.S. Territory. EXPERIENCE: Possess a minimum of two years of experience in an Occupational Medicine setting within the preceding three years, or have completed an Occupational Medicine residency training program within the preceding two years. CERTIFICATION: Possess certification in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
SCHEDULING: The occupational medicine physician will provide services Monday through Friday, including the day of observance of federal holidays, between the hours of 07:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The physician will normally be assigned an 8.5 hour shift to include a 0.5 hour uncompensated lunch break. Specific shift hours for each two-week period shall be scheduled four to six weeks in advance. The physician shall provide and not exceed 80 hours of services (including on-site service, approved leave and holidays) in a two week pay period. Alternative schedules may be implemented such as a compressed work schedule.
COMPENSATION: The occupational medicine physician will receive a very generous direct hourly pay.
