New: Ophthalmology Opportunity in Northeast Nevada!!
This is a NEW position. There are 2 Ophthalmologists that practice at the hospital now, neither of which are in the community. Both travel to the community periodically. New Candidate will average 20 patients per day and average 21 procedures per week. Equipment includes Wilde microscope, 2 cataract trays, 2 phaco trays, AMO phaco machine, misc eye instrument tray. Both PSA & SSA- Patients are currently being seen from communities as far as 3.5 hours away. Payor mix is 25% Medicare, 9% Medicaid, 12% self-pay and 52% commercial, and NO HMO/Managed Care! Commercial contracts are predominately a percent of charges, as high as 95%. Practice Model is either Private Practice or possible employment for the right physician (Collections guarantee or employment with salary & benefits). Compensation based on MGMA Median - $354,000 range + full benefits package (see below). Income is not limited or capped. Salary Amount, Length of Contract, Relocation Allowance, Signing Bonus, Stipend, and Student Loan Repayment, Paid Time Off, CME Time and CME education allowance are Negotiable And Will Be Discussed Individually in an Interview. Acceptable candidates are either practicing physicians or New Residents and Fellows are also welcome. H-1B, J-1, and Green Card are welcome. Call is 10 days per month. A candidate who was fellowship trained in Cornea and External Disease, Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma, Uveitis and Ocular Immunology or others would have to be willing to do general ophthalmology and also recognize that there is not enough of a population to support doing too much specialization. Perm candidates only. No midlevels and no Locums.
