Maxim Government Services is searching for a qualified Optometrist to provide services to inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield, North Carolina.

The contractor must be a licensed optometrist in the State of South Carolina. He/she must be a graduate of an accredited university, with a degree in optometry. At a minimum, the contractor must be eligible for board certification. The contractor, by virtue of years of private practice and specialized training in prosthetics/contact lenses, has acquired sufficient patient assessment skills to perform according to local community standards.
All documents showing evidence of candidate education, license, experiences and certification must be submitted along with the original quote package submitted for consideration.
The services will be provided at least once a month, depending on the number of eye examinations pending. Services will be arranged Monday through Friday, during the regular working hours 8:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays and weekends. The specific days shall be mutually agreed upon by the contractor and the Health Services Administrator due to the scheduling of the inmate population.
All necessary equipment and supplies required to perform the requested services will be furnished by FCI/SPC Edgefield.
